Brand Protection

The reputation, popularity and history of Coventry City Football Club makes our Club crest one of the most recognisable in English football, as well as one of the most distinctive.

We have registered our Club crest and other CCFC intellectual property past and present as trademarks or wordmarks with the Intellectual Property Office.

Our popularity and appeal has unfortunately made Coventry City a target for counterfeiters selling unauthorised CCFC products, those that wish to abuse the content that we produce and those that wish to affiliate with CCFC without providing any investment.

We work tirelessly to protect our supporters, partners and Coventry City itself from those that wish to exploit CCFC through unauthorised use of our crest.

Counterfeit Products

Counterfeit products have absolutely no association with Coventry City Football Club, are generally of poor quality and are potentially harmful to our supporters, having undergone inferior or no quality control checks. These products include replica kits, CCFC branded clothing, scarves, mobile phone covers and many other products.

Money from counterfeit products does not go back into supporting Coventry City Football Club.

We are committed to protecting our supporters and our Club by working with UK Trading Standards and law enforcement authorities to prosecute those who manufacture, distribute and sell counterfeit Coventry City Football Club products.

If you have information regarding counterfeit Coventry City products being sold please contact us using the details below. All communication will be treated in the strictest confidence.

False Affiliations with Coventry City

Coventry City's official partners have invested heavily in the Club and are therefore granted exclusive rights to have an official partnership. These investments and partnerships help us to grow and be more successful, both off the field and on it. Some organisations may try to mislead supporters into believing they have an official partnership with us by using CCFC intellectual property without providing this investment - this dilutes the value of CCFC to current and potential new partners. We therefore pursue all legal remedies in protecting our official partnerships.

Brand & Content Abuse

Coventry City produces content via our official social media accounts, including our official YouTube channel, and official website to keep supporters entertained and informed about the latest news at Coventry City. Unfortunately, we are increasingly aware of CCFC content uploaded to platforms such as YouTube, social media profiles using Club trademarks and other blogs/websites using Coventry City content without permission.

We work with content providers and social media platforms to remove any unauthorised content. If you are aware of any online locations that may be using Coventry City's content without permission or using Coventry City content online, please contact us using the details below. All communication will be treated in the strictest confidence.

Use of photos

Photos used on the Coventry City website and social media channels are used by the Club either under paid for licence from external photo agencies, or from the Club's own imagery archive. Photos used on our website/social media channels should not be used elsewhere without permission.
